About

Natalie Song is a counsellor, speaker, and advocate for emotional wellbeing, specialising in the psychology of bullying and abuse. A graduate in Psychological Counselling, she founded Song & Pashley, a Singapore-based non-profit organisation providing accessible, low-bono and pro-bono counselling to individuals who fall between the cracks of traditional mental health support systems. Natalie’s passion for helping others stems from her own experience of overcoming a decade of domestic abuse—an ordeal that ignited her mission to support survivors and address the root causes of destructive behaviour. Her work spans both personal and workplace contexts, empowering individuals to recognise unhealthy patterns, set boundaries, and rebuild confidence. As a KeyNote Women Speaker, Natalie shares her expertise and story with authenticity and emotional intelligence. She brings a rare dual perspective—understanding both the victim’s pain and the perpetrator’s psychology—making her talks deeply human and profoundly transformative. Her vision is simple yet powerful: to stop the cycle of abuse by cultivating empathy, awareness, and emotional strength in every relationship and organisation.

Breaking the Cycle – Understanding the Psychology of Bullying and Abuse
Bullying and abuse—whether in the home or workplace—often share a hidden root: cycles of learned behaviour. In her deeply moving and insightful talk, Natalie Song explores the psychology behind both perpetrators and victims, revealing how past trauma and unhealed experiences perpetuate toxic patterns. Drawing from her own journey of surviving a decade-long abusive marriage and her professional work as a counsellor, Natalie helps audiences recognise the subtle dynamics of power, fear, and control that exist in everyday interactions. With compassion and clarity, she demonstrates that the key to breaking these cycles lies in awareness and choice—understanding that control only exists when it is permitted. Through real-life examples and psychological insights, Natalie invites individuals and organisations alike to build environments grounded in empathy, respect, and emotional safety. Her message is both sobering and empowering: when we heal the bully within, we stop the ripple of harm and begin the ripple of change.
