Financial Empowerment for Women
The definition of empowerment is compelling: the process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling one's life and claiming one's rights. Compared to other topics, money and finances are two taboo topics that seem immune to women openly sharing about them. Though women have come a long way personally and professionally, when it comes to money, there is still considerable work needed to level the playing field.
Deeply committed to educating and empowering women on financial well-being, Batya adopts a holistic approach that touches on the 3 pillars of well-being: financial, mental, and physical. Given that 9 out of 10 women will be the sole decision-maker at some point in their lives, she equips her audience with the knowledge and confidence to take control of their finances now and in the future.
Batya is a chartered accountant and licensed financial adviser with over 22 years of international banking and financial services experience. Prior to moving into wealth management, she was a CFO at an Australian Bank. As a full-time working mother to 3 young kids, Batya understands that people may have the best of intentions in managing their finances, but often put themselves last.
She is passionate about empowering and educating people on financial well-being and helping individuals, families, and business owners reach their long-term financial goals. Batya skillfully breaks down financial concepts so they are accessible to all and has spoken at many MNCs, Chambers of commerce, and NPOs in Singapore including Google, KPMG, Aviva, , and Business & Professional Women's association.
