"Theresa Goh is a Paralympic Swimmer from Singapore. She has been representing her country in various international competitions for the past 19 years. She believes her success has been largely due to the strong family support she has. Theresa has participated in the last 4 Paralympic Games and was the first female Singaporean swimmer to qualify for the Paralympics in 2004. A former world record holder in the 50m and 200m Breaststroke SB4 category, she recently clinched a bronze medal in the 100m breaststroke SB4 category, at the Rio Paralympics on her 4th Paralympic Games outing. A pioneer in the disability sports scene in Singapore, Theresa strongly believes in the importance of seeing the ability in a person and not their disability. Theresa identifies as a Queer athlete with disability and trying to speak up more for LGBTQ rights especially in Singapore.
